Fun Facts:
- The canyon is HUGE, larger than the entire state of Rhode Island
- It is the 3rd most visited park in the United States
- It has its own weather system (the canyon is so big it influences the weather 😳)
- It has over 1,000 caves (who knew?)
- The Canyon was created over 6 million years ago by the Mighty Colorado River
- You can`t visit the North Rim & South Rim in the same day -- say hello to 3 days of hiking and 25+ miles (that’s an entire marathon)
- The unique Landscape was announced as a national monument president Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt in 1908.
- There is a town inside the Grand Canyon known as the Supai Village, with a population of just 208 people; if you haven’t hiked Havasupai, add it to your list!
- The most dangerous animal in the park is the Rock Squirrel.

Did we miss one? Let us know below 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

Some of our favorite activities include Mule Trips along the rim, Rafting the Colorado River, watching sunrise/sunset at the Rim, and Stargazing! To get the best views, head out on a hike and consider glamping/camping during your stay 😉

Wow! Wow! Wow! We can’t believe there are over 10k of you here in this community 🎉

Thank you for your love of the outdoors & support! We started Wander Camp just 9 months ago (in July 2020 right after the National Parks re-opened and we realized people need a space to safely get outdoors) and we still can’t believe 5,000 of you (and counting) have come to stay with us ... 🤩

We still have a long ways to go, but we are excited for the journey and thrilled to have you you here with us! 🙌🏻
