Running is for all of us! No matter how “in-shape” we think we are, Glacier National Park has trails for anyone who wants to get outside. The experience of running isn’t about the miles ran, or the pace kept, it’s about the journey we embark on and the fulfillment we receive that brings joy.

Short Run

Hidden Lake Overlook

This is a quick out-and-back run that starts at the Logan Pass Visitor Center and goes to Hidden Lake Overlook. With a 7% Avg Grade and 2.7 miles, this is truly a fun run for anyone wanting to experience trail running for the first time.

Mid-distance Run

Bullhead Lake

For those who have gone trail running in the past, Bullhead Lake is a great option. Being one of the most popular trails in Glacier National Park, Bullhead Lake is a 7.1 one-way trail with only a 2% avg grade. This run is meant for those who don’t want an extremely intense hill workout, but who are accustomed to running for long periods of time.

Half-marathon Challenge

Cracker Lake

Another recommended trail in Glacier National Park is the Cracker Lake Trail. At 13 miles and a max grade of 29%, this run is meant for those who want a challenge. Despite its challenging journey, this trail features one of the largest rock faces on the continent and offers beautiful trees and lakes along the way.
