There are some swimming holes just a few hundred feet from the parking lot that are very accessible to travelers. If you go the extra mile (literally) you will pass by Native American petroglyphs. This hike is one of the several locations in Moab to view petroglyphs. At the end of it, you will find a natural waterfall flowing into watering pools. I can’t imagine a more romantic and beautiful spot to be with a loved one.
Spend a Night Under the Stars
The far reaching skies of Moab make it a perfect spot to sit and admire the stars. With more and more towns and cities popping up each day, it can be hard to find a place to really see the night sky and its different constellations. Some wonderful places to stargaze are Balanced Rock Picnic Area, The Windows, Garden of Eden Viewpoint, and Panorama Point. There are tour guides who specialize in astronomy and will help you identify the different stars and constellations.
