Review alert! Let me start off by saying this state is be-UTAH-ful. After a 3.5 hour drive from the Salt Lake City Airport, myself and my two gal pals arrived to begin our glamping experience in Moab, Utah with Wander Camp!

Moab is home to the famous Arches National Park. This park contains over 2,000 natural sandstone arches. They have a beautiful red color that seems to glow in the sunrise! You will need to become a morning person because you won’t want to miss a sunrise like this. There are plenty of hikes that can accommodate any level of skills, from beginner to advance. So lace up those hiking shoes and be prepared to be amazed by the views Arches National Park has to offer! Check out Discover Moab to see all the hiking options available. Accommodations

One of the main reasons I chose to book with Acanela Expeditions and Wander Camp was that the itinerary was completed in advance. There was no dreadful “what should we do?” “where should we go?” questions or mindless wandering. Food and accommodations were also included in the booking. The only thing you are responsible for is transportation to Moab (flights, rental car, etc).

Glamping

What does Glamping entail you may be asking? Once you open your tent you will be amazed. It’s filled with a rug, queen size bed, two side tables and lamps. Such a cozy setup that makes you feel at home in the middle of a desert. We traveled in August and the days were hot and nights were cold so make sure you bring attire for both! Wondering about bathrooms? Have no fear there is also a tent that includes a working toilet and running water (sink and shower!). Tip #1 don’t bring roller luggage (learn from our failure) because you do have to walk through sand/dirt to get to your tent.

Food/Drinks

If you are anything like me then you are probably always worried about where and when you are going to be eating next (huge foodie here). Most of the meals are included in booking with Acanela so no need to fret! Our guide brought us to some hidden gems in Moab that we would have never found on our own. The restaurants our guide brought us to were exploding with culture and many of us were able to try new things. As a girl from a small town in Southern Minnesota trying Meditterian food was never an option. Major piece of advance: get out of your comfort zone! Trust me, you will be so happy that you did!

Hikes

The hikes Moab has to offer are endless! Don’t know where to begin on picking the perfect hiking trail? No worries! Booking with Acanela Expeditions has you covered. The best trails are added to your itinerary PLUS a hiking guide is included. You might not think you need a hiking guide but the things you will learn from them will blow your mind. Our group would have missed out on some awesome insider knowledge of these hiking trails without our guide. For example, did you know that the Utah Juniper Tree will stop the flow of fluids to some outer branches so that the tree has a better chance for survival? I never would have thought a dead looking tree could be so beautiful!

My favorite part of the hiking portion of the trip was Arches National Park. The red color hue of the arches is seriously mind blowing. The beauty this park offers is like no other! If Arches National Park isn’t on your bucket list you definitely need to add it. Pictures don’t do this park justice but I’ll throw in a few so you can get an idea of what I’m saying!

Tip #2 bring A LOT of water on the hikes. The heat in Utah in the summer is no joke. Water will be your best friend! The views you get to see on the hikes are amazing so trust me you don’t want to pass out from dehydration and miss out. Grab your gal pals and lots of water and book your Moab trip with Acanela right NOW! You won’t be disappointed!
