Full Moon Hikes – A Magical Moonlit Adventure
Imagine hiking through Bryce Canyon’s surreal rock formations bathed in soft moonlight, with the night sky stretching endlessly above. The Full Moon Hike is a ranger-led experience that takes place once a month, offering visitors the chance to explore the park in a whole new way. The experience is serene, mysterious, and absolutely unforgettable. Since space is limited, tickets are required and can be reserved online in advance. Hikers should come prepared with sturdy boots, water, and a warm jacket—temperatures can drop quickly after sunset. Flashlights with white light are not allowed, but red-light headlamps can be used as needed. Due to the rugged trails, this activity is not wheelchair accessible, and children under seven are not permitted. If you’re lucky, you may even hear the distant call of a nocturnal animal while trekking under the starry sky.
