What does a Wander Camp Look Like?
Tents
Wander Camp is a glamping hotel with multiple tents in each location. The tents are spaced with enough room in between the tents to have privacy and enjoy your little corner of nature. Each tent is 216 square feet, 16 feet in diameter and height. The tents are made from sturdy, waterproof canvas. There are plenty of windows and a large netted door. The furniture inside is what makes it better than traditional camping and more luxurious. Top of the line furniture lines each tent which includes: one King Bed or up to four Twin Beds, plush down comforter, one-thousand thread count sheets, four pillows, two side tables, two lounge chairs, two solar powered lanterns, two solar powered fans, solar powered USB outlets, and a soft rug. Everything you need from a hotel room is featured in our tents, plus you have unbeatable nature that surrounds you.
Bathrooms
Each camp has a ‘tipi’ style bathroom. Bathrooms are shared between guests, with one bathroom every four-six tents. Every bathroom has a flush toilet, push sink, and pull shower. Because our camps are off the grid and in remote locations, we focus on conserving water and power, so we operate solely on solar power.
Pet Friendly
At Wander Camp we love pets! Our tents are pet friendly, but please keep in mind that smaller animals can get through the tent openings if not secured properly. If you are worried about your pet escaping, please consider not bringing them.
Firepits, food situation/ dutch oven dinners,
There is something about sitting by a warm fire after a long, exciting day. Our Wander Camp locations have community firepits. These are perfect for making s’mores and relaxing after a day of adventuring. Many memories are made while sitting and chatting by a campfire. During high season, we offer campfire dining. Your meal will be prepared in a traditional Dutch Oven and will be one of the best meals you’ve had. We have outdoor seating and picnic tables as well for all meals. Stargazing
One of Wander Camps’s motto is “A 5 Billion Star Glamping Hotel”. If you stay with us, you are guaranteed to have a great stargazing experience. All of our locations are very remote and close to National Parks or other natural attractions. This greatly reduces light pollution which increases your ability to see millions of stars every night. Stargazing is bound to be a highlight of your stay at Wander Camp.
Traveling
Our locations are remote but they are within thirty minutes of the national parks and natural attractions they surround. If you have a location in mind that our tents aren’t at, our tents are mobile! So if you have the perfect location in mind we can make it happen.
Pricing
Glamping is pretty comparable with other accommodation options in the area and sometimes more affordable! You get more of an immersive experience for your money as you pick glamping over other options.
