Introduction

Glamping. What even is it?? Well the dictionary defines it as “a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping.” A simpler way of putting it is a really nice way to camp. I’m talking larger tents, convenient amenities, and beautiful campsites with incredible things to do all around you. For those of you who have had little or no experience glamping or even camping, this is the perfect article for you. I’ll explain a little about what you can expect if you go glamping, specifically at one of the Wander Camp locations.

What to Expect at the Campsite

Tent Overview

Depending on which location you stay at, you have the option of choosing between four different tents.

Each tent comes with high thread count sheets, a comforter, pillows and blankets. Also included is a rug, side tables, solar powered lanterns, and leather wingback chairs

Other Amenities

Packing List

Clothes

What to wear is very season dependent! If it is warm, it’s a good idea to bring shorts, t-shirts, and a swimsuit. If it will be colder, pants and jackets are the way to go! Just bring what you think you’ll be most comfortable in!

Food

If weather permits, canteen food trucks are available. You can enjoy rustic American meals like pancakes and coffee for breakfast, and burgers and chips for dinner. If that’s not enough, bring snacks and other things to fill you up!

Misc.

Depending on you, there are many other things to consider bringing. Flashlights, camp chairs, hammock, multi-tool, binoculars, games, bug spray, and sunscreen are just a few!

Activities Around the Campsite

Whichever location you choose to visit, there are so many amazing places to go see and explore. Enjoy different hikes, trails, and adventures at each site you go to. For a list to get you started, check out the local adventures page.

Conclusion

Now you’re ready to give glamping a try.
