Need a mental break from your busy life? Haven’t had a minute to yourself to think and do some self care? Take a trip to a national park! Spending time in nature has proven health benefits. It is proven to reduce anxiety and depression along with improving concentration. Besides, a little time away from your phone is always good for your brain! 

Below we have some tips for you to plan your ultimate self-care vacation in some of the most beautiful national parks in the U.S.!

1. Go Glamping!

If you’ve never heard of glamping, it is where you stay in a luxurious tent that contains many of the amenities you are accustomed to at home. The only difference: you wake up to a beautiful national park right outside your front door (or curtain). You can find different glamping sites on the Dyrt or Wander Camp’s website. 2. Plan a Hike!

Exercise is a huge part of self-care. Taking a hike (or just a small walk) can be a great way to practice mindfulness. So, go out and move your body to release some well-deserved endorphins.

3. Find a Hot Spring!

These are like natural outdoor spas that are perfect for relaxing after a long hike. Usually you won’t find hot springs inside a national park although they are usually an hour or two away. If you plan it into your drive to your camping site, it should be a wonderful break from the monotony of driving.

4. Do Some Yoga!

Imagine birds chirping and bushes rustling while you hold yoga poses in the middle of the wilderness as the sun rises up ahead. Practicing yoga could be a wonderful way to connect with yourself and the nature around you. Through yoga, you are practicing mindfulness which is beneficial for your mental health. You can download a little yoga video beforehand or just sit and meditate. Both are valid and will promote your wellbeing.
