One of the greatest things about hiking is all of the unforgettable views and landscapes you are able to enjoy while on the trail. 1. Mt. Timpanogos
The first and most infamous spring and summer hike is Mt. Timpanogos.This hike is no easy feat, but it is easily one of the best places to enjoy the wildflowers. As you climb 9 miles up Timpooneke Trailhead, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the blooming flowers and scenic views. You may even bump into some mountain goats. Because of the high elevation at just under 12,000 feet, it is best to go in the late summer around August.
2. Alpine Pond Trail
Another great spring trail is the Alpine Pond Trail located in Cedar breaks national monument. This easy loop trail allows for a unique look at tons of wildflowers. It is also home to many meadows and a pond. There is no better way to celebrate spring by enjoying the beauty of nature. It is a relatively easy hike being just 2 miles round trip and very little elevation gain. Take a nice stroll and enjoy spring.
3. Albion Basin
If you have ever seen a picture of wildflowers that was breath taking, there is a good chance it was taken along the Albion Basin Trail. It is an easy stroll with sweeping views. Plus it is home to the prettiest wildflowers in all of Utah. If you’re looking for a good place to take photos this spring and summer, this is it!
4. Cascade Springs Trail
A great family friendly option is located in American Fork Canyon named Cascade Springs. This hike is only 1 mile and is actually boardwalked the entire way through. That way the whole family is able to enjoy the hike and most importantly the blooming spring flowers.
5. Tony Grove Nature Trail
The best hike to close out the season is a quick 1.2 mile hike in Logan Canyon. Tony Grove Nature Trail is an easy hike that is beautiful. Because of the higher elevation, the flowers bloom in late August. It is the perfect way to end the summer and warm hiking season.
